The Challenge Program




Student in the Workplace Model to motivate students to develop career readiness skills through partnerships with businesses.

3 year partnership with USG (United States Gypsum) with a minimum of three activities that are designed to engage students with career readiness and exploration

  • Classroom Takeover-(Jan.)-USG will provide STEM activities in classrooms to promote connection between students and careers

  • Business Partner Week- (Feb-Mar)USG will highlight the employment opportunities at USG with interactive activities and provide career readiness skill development  

  • USG Tour-(Late Spring)-Interested students will tour the factory to get a first hand view of the careers and jobs available



Cash Incentives for our Students

  • Five $200 awards each for grades 10-12 in these categories:Attendance,Academic Excellence, Academic Improvement,STEM,Community Service. 

  • The Student of the Year Award- Program wide,three finalists are selected. Each finalist receives $1,000 and the winner receives another $1,500


As our relationship with TCP develops we hope to

  • Continue to increase job opportunities for our students at USG

  • Develop a wider range of programs that meet all career interest areas 

  • Partner with other Beaver County schools with business partners to expand experiences
